Dr. Zeren et sa petite sœur Ayla Yaman ont été bouleversées par la mort subite de leur mère en pleine nuit. Selon les rapports criminels et juridiques, Mukkader Yaman était morte d’une hémorragie cérébrale. Toutefois, étant à côté de sa mère lors de son décès, Ayla réfute cette thèse. Selon elle, sa mère a été tuée par une créature gigantesque obscure dont elle ne sait pas ce que c’est, agissant très rapidement, ayant des visages noirs, parlant une langue méconnue.

Arrivé dans la ville turque d’Edirne, Cabir, un Syrien, s’apprête à traverser la rivière Maritsa pour passer en Grèce avec un groupe de migrants. Mais l’opération échoue, et il doit prendre la fuite. A man with no recorded memory about his past finds himself in a bar, following a mysterious woman whom he finds familiar.
