The theme of the film revolves around a series of unexpected events that a taxi driver in Colombo has to face when a journalist gets into his car and a political mob follows her, and this taxi driver has to face many unexpected events to protect her from the political gang.

Sahan and Nayomi are a devoted married couple who deeply care for each other. However, after a few years of marriage, their lives begin to change as they face a complex situation.

Rangana is a young musician from the working classes who dreams big. His aim is to rise above his station, even as he toils the low-rent barroom circuit with his band, playing night after night to under-appreciative crowds to make a frugal living. Tanya is the love of his life, the woman whom all this will be worth achieving. She is just finishing school. As he toils through the nights, his need of a mode of transport - a motor bicycle - becomes more and more apparent. He dreams of one day collecting enough money to buy one, finally buying a second hand motorbike despite his mother's great protest. He now wants to taste his new found freedom with his beloved Tanya, along the city streets of Colombo. As Rangana and Tanya embark on this motorbike journey across the city, questions about their present, challenges to their future and the very essence of their lives is brought to the fore, in "Motor Bicycle."

Sasitha works as the underpaid delivery man for Giftnet, an Internet based business which accepts gift orders from outside Sri Lanka. Suffocated by economic pressures and sexual frustrations, like most of his peers he sees going abroad as the only way out of his wretched existence. Fascinated with the idea of “abroad” he forms relationships with the recipients of these gifts, most of whom are rich, lonely women. When the real world starts to look too bleak, Sasitha seeks greener pastures through virtual relationships he builds on Facebook and Skype with Sri Lankan women of his own class, working abroad. But when nothing seems to go right, he grows desperate.

It's the 17th of March 1996. Wills Cricket World Cup Final between Australia and Sri Lanka is about to commence at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. Meanwhile, in Colombo, a man and his wife board a bus carrying a strange cardboard box. Joined by an eloping young couple, several other interesting passengers aboard, they take off on a long night's journey. The seemingly peaceful bus ride shifts its pace when it enters a chase with a Defender jeep. An accident unexpectedly reveals the contents of the cardboard box promising the passengers a journey unlike any they have taken before.

A hearing-impaired taxi driver is exploiting a loophole in the law to make a living. But when he gets entangled with the criminal-political underworld of Sri Lanka after a fateful taxi ride, the next few hours will decide the rest of his life.

35 year old bachelor Jehan and his partner in crime Priyantha try to exploit the loopholes in the law in order to make a living.Koombiyo tells the story of Jehan Fernando, who has neither family nor home and lives alone in an abandoned building complex in Colombo. He accidentally meets Hiruni and Priyantha Mahaulpathagama in a public bus when Priyantha is coming to Colombo on his search for a job. Jehan convinces Priyantha to abandon the job he is going for and join Jehan's company Purchasing Lanka instead, which delivers retail items to customers claiming they are from supermarkets when in reality they are bought from the local flea markets. Priyantha starts living with Jehan while being a partner in his business and they quickly become good friends.
