A Cuban immigrant tries to find her place in New York City.

1991 : la Guerre froide est terminée, l’URSS s’écroule. Sergeï, un cosmonaute russe reste coincé dans l’espace, oublié par les Soviétiques qui ont bien d’autres soucis sur Terre... À Cuba, à l’aide d’une fréquence radio, Sergio entre en contact par hasard avec Sergeï et va tout mettre en œuvre pour le ramener sur terre. Mais sans le savoir, Sergio est sur écoute et espionné…

Gil Bigelow, un petit manager travaillant pour le compte d’une grande multinationale américaine est envoyé secrètement à Cuba pour y poser les bases d’une future activité commerciale et y rechercher son prédécesseur disparu sans laisser de trace. Confronté à un nouvel univers où ses instructions et ses méthodes sont inopérantes, Gil se voit forcé de réévaluer jusqu’à son identité.
