Il y rencontre un cynique diplomate français du XIXe siècle. Les deux hommes deviennent complices au cours d'un extraordinaire voyage dans le temps, à travers le turbulent passé de la Russie, qui les conduit jusqu'à nos jours.

Lenfilm's most recent major production spins a kind of historical fantasy based on real incidents that's full of ominous implications for today. One night, a patrol rushes into the chambers of the Russian prince Pavel, son of the Empress Catherine; the Empress has died, and Pavel is to be anointed the new Tsar. Thought to be feeble-minded at best and crazy at worst, Pavel soon lives up to his enemies' fears: he dismisses long-serving courtiers, demands that peasants only work three days a week, and declares that state officials should start their days at 5 am. Soon, it seems that everyone who can is trying to hatch some kind of plot against him - including his own sons. Sumptuously designed, POOR POOR PAVEL constrasts the imperial splendor of the court with the sordid atmosphere of conspiracies and backstabbing that comes to define these characters' lives.

Deprived of desperation by everyday problems, the hero comes to the pharmacy, where it is rumored to get poison, which can not be hidden by any means.

Le scénario de ce film est inspiré d’un récit des frères Strougatski où il s’agit d’une ville fantôme avec un internat pour enfants surdoués avec pour professeurs des êtres bizarres surnommés « aquatiques », ressemblant à des mutants ou à des extraterrestres. Le climat dans cette ville change tout le temps et sans raison apparente. On dirait un déluge total. Des commissions différentes y viennent étudier ce phénomène. Parmi les enfants de cet internat se trouve la fille de l’écrivain Victor Banev qui entreprend ses recherches visant à mettre au clair le destin de tous ces enfants et le sort de l’humanité qui en dépend directement.

This charming comedy tracks the lives of several romantic pairs through trials and tribulations. The main focus of the story is a young soldier with a good heart but little ambition and his fiancée, who feels torn when a charming and sophisticated intellectual enters her life and sweeps her off her feet. There are also several side stories, also all dealing with relationships, most significantly the soldier's mother, whose comfortable but unexceptional marriage is threatened when a past love returns to her life.

Outside the gates of the psychiatric hospital was 40-years-male with the development of 10-year-old child nicknamed Baby. In his pocket he had a ticket on the train, in the hands of the suitcase.
