When an accident happens during an experiment involving a machine which visualizes the contents of human minds, developer MISHIMA Soichi loses consciousness. His wife and co-developer, Midori, continues the development in an attempt to visualize Soichi’s mind. Is the human mind identical with the actual human? This sci-fi drama, based on an experimental short film by the director, depicts love and skepticism through the relationships between researchers who visualize human minds.

University student Yuji lives alone with his mother. He begins to keep a journal. One day, he finds his mother’s diary, in which she details her imaginary life with Yuji’s unborn little brother. “Nice to Meet You” looks into the verity of a real life hidden under a lie, by depicting an alienated mother and son trying to communicate through a fictional diary.

Osamu Asaku, who lives a stressful and uninteresting life, heads to the wedding of his ex-girlfriend but he feels intimidated and turns back on the verge. Rina, who pantomimes on the street, is in the midst of her job search but has not found her future. A drunken Asaku gets involved with Rina, and the two meet again the next day and go to the beach.

For ten years, Eriko has been chasing her dream of becoming an actress in Tokyo. Returning to her hometown for her older sister’s funeral, she realizes that she might have to readjust her path in life. She deciof the to take care of her nephew and to follow in her sister’s footsteps as a mourner-for-hire.
