Pedro, 12 ans, erre avec ses amis dans les rues violentes d’une banlieue ouvrière de Caracas. Quand il blesse gravement un garçon du quartier lors d’un jeu de confrontation, son père, Andrés, le force à prendre la fuite avec lui pour se cacher. Andrés découvre son incapacité à contrôler son fils adolescent mais cette nouvelle situation rapprochera père et fils comme jamais auparavant.

The Army accuses them of being guerrilla fighters and tries via intimidation to seize them from the cell where they are being watched over by the local police officer and by the entire village. They say they are simple fishermen, but pressure to yield to the official version is overwhelming.

Meche vit dans le quartier populaire de Lídice, sur les hauteurs de Caracas. Son fils Raúl a été assassiné, sans doute par un sicaire. Malgré le danger qui se précise, Meche continue de vivre, contre l’avis de ses filles, dans la maison familiale où le souvenir de Raúl est encore bien présent.
