Zlatan looks back on his unlikely journey from the gravel pitch in Rosengård to now being depicted as a statue in shimmering bronze. A journey that is lined with historic goals, wins and trophies in world football's top tier, but which is just as much about taking one's place in Swedish society.

The series is named after a small part of Saltsjöbaden called Solsidan. It revolves around Alex and Anna who are expecting their first child and have just moved to Alex's childhood home in Saltsjöbaden, Stockholm County. Alex tries to get Anna to enjoy herself, and at the same time spend time with his childhood friend Fredde.

Sonny is released from prison where he got a romantic relationship with one of the employees Camilla. He is getting ready to live a normal life and move in with her, but a last minute bid on the house is getting in the way.

30-year-old Mathilda is on the verge of perfect adulthood with a job at a law firm and a stable relationship. But when her boyfriend proposes, an avalanche of emotions lead to questionable actions and put Mathilda's life in jeopardy.
