Voilà deux ans que le frère aîné de Daan est mort. Paraît que le temps guérit tout, mais c’est juste un proverbe à la con, ça. Daan, il a 17 piges et une famille complètement disloquée : son père se noie dans le boulot et sa mère reste inconsolable. Pourtant, l’arrivée de Radja, un sans-abri, va insidieusement changer leurs vies mises brutalement entre parenthèses. La mère de Daan va alors se servir de Radja comme d’un substitut, l’accueillant sous leur toit, comme on place un tableau sur un mur vide. Sans se méfier un seul instant de cet inconnu mystérieux, dont le passé semble aussi trouble qu’inexistant…

4eVer follows the ups and downs of four friends and their families. The families differ in composition and background, but the four friends - Emma, Lore, Gamil and Robin, who follow the same studies at school or share the same hobby - are closer than many brothers and sisters. Their characters and temperaments are different, but they are bound by three powerful ties: their friendship, their interfamily relationship, and their shared neighbourhood.

'Familie' is the longest running Belgian soap opera. The Van den Bossches originally had an electronics company, later a holding company that included a clothing chain and a sandwich shop. In the meantime, we closely follow the personal lives of the Van den Bossches and their entourage. Grandma Anna and all her children and grandchildren have been through a lot over time and it doesn't look like their lives will become calmer any time soon.
