Mana for Android developed by Polar Bone, a character development company. Once completed, it is planned to be mass-produced and named "Mana Plan". Takuma, who created the character design and participated as an observer in this three-dimensionalization plan, was using this prototype as a cohabitation partner. Meanwhile, heroine Mana's rival character Jun was also one of those born from the previous plan, like Mana.　

Mariko is a forensic scientist working at the Kyoto PD Crime Lab. Her credo is “science never lies” and she delves into the truth of the case with her colleagues with their specialized skills and knowledge in forensic medicine, physics, chemistry etc. Mariko’s steadfast belief in science makes her stand against conventional institutional ethics of the police department, diehard detectives averse to scientific investigation and sometimes even with her own colleagues, but she stays faithful to her belief in science and continues to pursue the truth.

Set in the 18th century, the show follows the Shogun Yoshimune, who likes to disguise himself as a low-ranking samurai and go into his capital of Edo to see the life of the common man, as well as to seek out and punish evildoers who would hurt his citizens. He is aided by Magistrate Oo'oka and a vivacious fireman, Tatsugoro, as well as a rotating cast of other recurring characters. Along with Zenigata Heiji and Mito Kōmon, it ranks among the longest-running series in the jidaigeki genre. Like so many other jidaigeki, it falls in the category of kanzen-chōaku, loosely, "rewarding good and punishing evil."

Heiji is an undercover policeman in the city of Edo. He possesses a superior skill of throwing coins. When a criminal is caught, Heiji throws coins at the offender and reveals his true identity. Like “Abarenbo Shogun,” “Mito Komon” and “Toyama no Kinsan,” “Zenigata Heiji” is about an official working undercover to catch criminals. The hero was created by novelist Kodō Nomura in 1931.

During the reign of the 8th Shogun Tokugawa Yoshimune, Mondonosuke, a young retired Jikisan-Hatamoto learns from Yoshimune who saved him from a crisis on his samurai training trip about the assassination of Iwashiro Yasutaka, the lord of the Kameda domain. Mondonosuke realizes that Omine-no-Zenki who was his apprentice brother is responsible for the assassination. Zenki was supposed to have been put to death five years ago. In order to defeat Zenki who is now on the loose... Mondonosuke must battle through a series of fights.
