Lorsqu'un détective-araignée monte à bord d'un hydravion pour se rendre à San Francisco après avoir enfin capturé son ennemi juré, un meurtre commis pendant son vol le conduit vers un complot qui menace à la fois le monde des humains et celui des insectes.

Un riche texan semble décidé à coloniser la lune et à exploiter ses ressources. Pour cela, il est prêt à réécrire l’histoire et effacer toute trace de l’exploit d’Apollo XI. Un garçon de 12 ans, ses amis, son grand‐père et un caméléon futé sont bien décidés à ne pas le laisser faire.

Max is a Jack Russell dog genetically modified for criminal purposes so he is able to talk. Running away from the criminals he's working for, he is wounded, then saved by detective-wannabe Alberto, who is fire and house-hunting. They end up staying with Alberto's sister-in-law Marta and her two children. Thanks to them all, Alberto finally manages to be a detective, and he and Max establish their detective agency: Sabuesos.
