Brooding outsider Mikiro catches Sotoko just as she reaches a breaking point in her claustrophobic rural life. Their encounter introduces an eroticism with a violent edge that threatens to slash apart her toxic marriage with the abusive Atsuya and his web of small town corruption.

Kanichi works at wet tissue company in Mito, Japan. He runs into Gondo. 10 years ago, Gondo was fired from his job as a teacher for secretly filming others. He is now with Mihari who works as a hostess. He took away her away from Tokyo. Kanichi falls in love with Mihari at first sight and takes her away from Gondo. Meanwhile, due to a female student on the video Gondo secretly shot, an unexpected disturbance is created.

In the winter of 1922 (Taisho 11), a poet and social activist Nakahama Tetsu returned from a wandering journey to reunite with Furuta Daijiro and other comrades. They organized an anarchist organization “Guillotine Society” dreaming of revolution. For their ideal, they targeted the Prince of Wales who visited Japan, but failed in all their attempts. Matsuura Emile, a soba selling mysterious woman with all foreseeing eyes, comes and goes before them. In September of 1923 (Taisho 12), under martial law, anarchists Osugi Sakae and Ito Noe whom members of Guillotine Society adored were taken by Captain Amakasu of the military police, and killed. When they learned of the murder, members of Guillotine Society swore vengeance, and rose up… Then, transcending time, at a cafe, music rings loud….

To save the fate of his company, Sakaguchi decides to start a new program, combining pro wrestling and infomercials as he sees something special in Ken's wrestling... Aoi, a coworker and Ken's girlfriend, become troubled by not being able to accept Ken's excitement over his wrestling.

On March 11th 2011, a massive earthquake strikes eastern Japan. Shoko (TAKEKOU Aya), who works at a shoe store in Tokyo, is unable to contact her boyfriend Masashi (ISOBE Yasuhiro) who lives in the worst-hit region. As aftershocks continue, she finally gets through to his brother who tells her that Masashi has become mentally unstable. Despite her desire to go to his side, she is urged to break up with him for her own sake. As Shoko struggles to come to terms with her feelings for Masashi, he suddenly appears before her...

Yohei and his wife Yumi found an abandoned kitten and named it Kiu. They lovingly raised it, but one day Kiu went missing. A few days later, they discovered that Kiu had been a victim of abuse by a city hall employee, who was arrested but later released on probation. Disappointed by Japan's weak animal protection laws, the devastated couple's despair led Yohei to seek revenge on the abuser.
