Private Kornilov gets an order from his commanding officer to guard a military installation far away from base. They promise that he will be picked up in a week. When Kornilov arrives at the site he discovers that the only place he can sleep is the excavator that he is supposed to guard. A week passes, but nobody comes to pick him up…

Schoolboy Pashka Kostin is injured and falls into a coma. His friends decide that Pashka's soul has moved into a yard dog named Pirate. The friends are looking for all sorts of ways to get the soul out of the dog and return it to Pashka. In the end, the old proven method works - the princess kisses the "sleeping beauty" Pasha.
