Live at Wacken Open Air 2006 est un DVD live du groupe de hard rock Scorpions enregistré en 2006 au festival Wacken Open Air, où le groupe avait la tête d'affiche devant plus de 60 000 personnes. Ce concert célébrant le come back d'éminents anciens membres du groupe, en réalisant (pratiquement) pour le coup une synthèse de "Tokyo Tapes" et "World Wide Live".

Quatre musiciens honorent la mémoire du légendaire Jimi Hendrix (1942-1970), guitariste et personnalité hors-norme à la carrière trop courte : Steve Morse, guitariste du groupe de hard rock Deep Purple ; Steve Vai, "guitar hero" des années 80-90 ; Uli Jon Roth, guitariste des Scorpions ; et Eric Sardinas, fan inconditionnel de blues des années 1920-30.

Uli Jon Roth (Ulrich roth) est connu pour être le guitariste du groupe de Heavy Metal (Hard Rock) Scorpions de 1974 à 1978 et le fondateur du groupe Electric Sun. Il est très certainement l'un des meilleurs guitaristes que Scorpions ait connu.

Enregistré le 25 août 2013 chez HSBC Brazil à São Paulo / SP, le DVD présente le chanteur italien Fabio Lione sur toutes les chansons, en plus d'apparitions sur certains morceaux la voix de Tarja Turunen (ex-Nightwish), le guitariste Uli Jon Roth (ex-Scorpions), Family Lima et le batteur Amilcar Christófaro (Torture Squad).

Witness the inspired twin-lead guitar interplay between two of the greatest living guitarists, Michael Schenker and Uli Jon Roth during some electrifying renditions of several UFO classics. A historic moment was captured when Jack Bruce joined Uli and Clive Bunker on the stage without any prior rehearsal whatsoever, to invoke the spirit of one of rock's most legendary supergroups -- Cream. Although Uli and Jack had never before performed any of these songs together, it was evident from the first few notes onwards that the unique chemistry between these two giants of rock resulted in an authentic and moving interpretation of the spirit of Cream.
