Eesa et Mokhtar, qui travaillent à la mine, se disputent ; Eesa pousse Mokhtar et le fait tomber. La bouteille d'oxygène de Mokhtar se met à fuir sans que personne ne s'en aperçoive. Eesa trouve du méthane et sauve plusieurs personnes mais Mokhtar meurt par manque d'oxygène dans sa bouteille. Eesa est tiraillé et doit faire un choix : mentir, ce qui ferait de lui un héros, ou tout avouer et porter le fardeau d'avoir tué Mokhtar.
