Our heroes find themselves at the famed Cannes Film Festival to help foil a plot to murder a former American union boss cum government witness, Kyle Sander. Suspects include the beautiful Marissa and boyfriend, who have a few surprises in store. Lord Sinclair and Danny then travel to Switzerland, where they have to help an elderly Duchess protect her jewels by finding proof of past marriage to a prince.

Lord Brett Sinclair, un aristocrate britannique, et Danny Wilde, un riche self-made-man américain, n'ont rien en commun, si ce n'est leur fortune, leur goût pour les femmes et leurs fonctions secrètes au service de la justice. Tous deux aident en effet le juge Fulton, un magistrat en retraite, à appréhender les bandits ayant échappé à la justice. Avec pour seules armes leurs poings et leur sens de l'humour, Brett et Danny finissent par intervenir dans toute l'Europe, de préférence sous le soleil de la Côte d'Azur ou dans les meilleurs palaces du continent, où pullulent margoulins, maîtres-chanteurs et espions.

Whoops Baghdad is a BBC television comedy programme first broadcast from 25 January to 1 March 1973. It stars Frankie Howerd, and was similar to his earlier programme Up Pompeii!, with the setting moved from Ancient Rome to mediaeval Baghdad. However, it was less successful than its predecessor, only running for six episodes and is little remembered, although all episodes apparently survive. The original proposed title, Up Baghdad, was rejected because it was felt that it might have been seen as supportive of the then-current Iraqi regime.
