Macedonian mockumentary.

"Kabadaya" is a Turkish term, which is made up of the words "kaba" and "dahija" (daja), and most generally means a big boaster, bigot. Starting from this characteristic of the city Bitola, the authors of the film made in 2005 cross-section several generations of cultural and social life in the city.

A tale of family and loyalty, love and loss, betrayal and redemption. As the Mob destroys the life of a big family and leaves them on the brink of survival, a powerful, yet secret love, burns between Marko (a gangster) and Angela - two high school sweethearts. Good fortune smiles on the family (a bohemian collective of lovable eccentrics) as they find a long-lost treasure, but Angela betrays them in the name of love by stealing it in order to save Marko's life from the Mob. In the end, everyone reaps what they sow, and their love ends inauspiciously.

Two parallel tales of redemption, a century apart. In the New York storyline, Edge hunts for Angela's gold to pay back a debt, and gradually grows closer to her. In the Macedonian story, the brothers end up fighting for opposite sides of a revolution, with the religious Elijah taking up sides with the Ottoman sultan and gunslinger Luke joining "the Teacher" , a Macedonian rebel.

It depicts the life of the Macedonian poet and communist, Kočo Racin.
