De retour de la quête du Graal, qui fut un échec, Lancelot du Lac retrouve la cour du roi Artus (Arthur). Guenièvre, femme du roi, est restée sa fidèle maîtresse, ce qui fait croire à Lancelot qu'il s'agit de la raison de son échec. Mordred, jaloux, fomente contre lui un plan pour confondre les deux amants auprès du roi. Guenièvre ne nie pas ses sentiments, mais Lancelot fait preuve de fidélité à son roi: il remet la reine à Arthur et ensuit il part défendre la cause de son seigneur contre Mordred.

Random, surreal, and unexpected, Video 50 resembles the dream cycle of a dormant TV station after it conscious programming has ceased. Luciana, a country girl who has moved to Milan, is married to Mario, an intellectual type who avoids her since an accident forced him to live with his torso permanently in a cast. Lonely and depressed because also of her recent dismissal, she asks for help through a letter and becomes friends with elementary school teacher Anna, who also resents the negativity of her workplace and the world around her. Meanwhile, blue collar worker Marco waits for his fellow paisan Luciana to reciprocate his feelings. The vicissitudes of this quartet intertwine with the comical interludes of a commune of hippies who live in the tunnels of the Milan subway and spend their time pulling pranks on the passers-by.
