Monsieur Tamura est un self made Koala. Sur sa fourrure, il porte un costume et travaille comme directeur dans une entreprise vendant des Kimchis (des choux asiatiques épicés). Mais au moment où il s'apprête à signer un important contrat avec une entreprise coréenne vendant le même produit, la police veut l'interroger. Elle le soupçonne d'avoir tué sa petite amie, Yoko Abe, de 33 coups de couteaux la veille. Un soupçon lié à la disparition de sa femme, Yukari, trois ans plus tôt... Tamura le Koala dit ne se souvenir de rien... Mais sous ses doux airs de garçons timide, est-il un enfoiré qui bat ses femmes jusqu'à la mort ? Il ira jusqu'au bout pour prouver le contraire.
