The beginning musician Kostya Potekhin, in order to win the favor of a beautiful girl, agrees to participate in a musical television contest. But you only need to participate with your musical group, which he does not have. Within a few days, he will have to assemble his group, find reliable friends and meet real love.

Vadik Chernyshov is an impoverished dreamer who spends his life drifting though Moscow with a video camera, hoping to shoot footage that will interest Western press agencies. He falls in love with the beautiful Helen, an English media executive, and subsequently they must contend with the barriers that their different backgrounds present.

Not only was he cheating on his wife, but he was also secretly practicing the tango, a passionate dance that is the exact opposite of a clear and structured life with Nora. Trying to make sense of what happened, Nora herself goes to the tango school, which at first seems to her to be a meeting place for people with low social responsibility. But in the end it is this colorful world that changes Nora beyond recognition: she will go from a woman with an iron grip to a free and soft dancer.
