The cult jam band performs during the "Light Fuse Get Away" CD release party, which was held in Widespread Panic's hometown of Athens, Georgia, in April 1998. This very special release features the music video "Aunt Avis," directed by Billy Bob Thornton; also included are tracks such as "Disco," "Tall Boy," "Love Tractor," "Chilly Water," "Porch Song," "Pilgrims," "Fishwater," "Space Wrangler" and many more.

The Grateful Dead had splintered into various guises after the death of spirtual leader Jerry Garcia - still maintaining an active position in the scene but without the overwhelming attraction that saw the Dead as one of the most consistent and profitable live acts around. The scene had sprouted other successful acts such as Phish, Widespread Panic, The String Cheese Incident, and others. This movie chronicles the voyage that Hurlburt and Holmes took, and the results are amusing, though-provoking, and sometimes ludicrous.

It is written by Dave Willis, co-creator of Aqua Teen Hunger Force, and Jim Fortier, previously of The Brak Show, both of whom worked on the Adult Swim series Space Ghost Coast to Coast. The animation is done by Awesome Incorporated, with background design by Ben Prisk.

Perfect Hair Forever is an American comedy animated television series which is largely a parody of anime. It was created and produced by Williams Street, and aired on Adult Swim and Teletoon at Night in the US and Canada respectively. Perfect Hair Forever premiered with "Perfect Hair Forever" on November 7, 2004, and ended with "Return to Balding Victory" on April 1, 2007; with a total of seven episodes.
