Somebody Should Do Something tells a story of insecurity and longing for freedom, of fear that drives people to poor choices. The main character, Elvis, falls for the new girl in class, Onerva. Seeking acceptance from his friends, Elvis lies and tells them he’s had sex with Onerva. Due to the lies and misunderstandings, the whole town is soon at a point where somebody should do something.

Two best friends, Minna and Ina, are spending their last summer together, working as gardeners. In the night, they visit other people’s houses while the residents are sleeping. However, the summer is soon over, and in the autumn Ina will move away.

Samu and Joona are an inseparable couple, each other's only friends. They don’t leave each other in the lurch, even if they run the risk of getting fired from school or a badge in their buttocks. In fact, the boys are so intertwined that they are willing to do anything to be together. Like breaking into the principal’s office, lapping at millionaires, escaping half-brother Mark from the grenade, or being buried alive.
