Kokhta Karalashvili

The film is based on Georgian medieval epic poem “The Knight in the Panther’s Skin” by Shota Rustaveli and depicts an episode of Nestan-Darejan’s release from Kajeti fortress.

Levan Phantiashvili, prince bon vivant, se trouve dans une situation financière difficile. Pour améliorer sa vie, il accepte d'épouser Elo, la fille du marchand Adam Varakhidze. Le marchand est heureux de cette décision qui lui ouvre les portes de la haute société, jusqu'à ce qu'il découvre qu'Elo n'est pas tout à fait satisfaite de sa décision.
