Dans le Japon du XVIIe siècle. Le samouraï Iemitsu déteste son fils aîné Takechiyo. Il reporte toute son affection sur son plus jeune fils Tokumatsu. Un jour, Takechiyo, à l'aide d'une puissante armée, décide de se retourner contre son père...

"Kaibyo Densetsu" - Maki (Chizuru Ikewaki), who finds it strange that her best friend appears as a living spirit, goes to check on her. "Nanika ga Tsuite iru" - (Atsushi Itô) performs at a live concert under the direction of a female teacher who appears in front of him, and learns the truth behind the mysterious incident. "Hanako-san" - In order to escape from the curse of Sakurako, who committed suicide because of them, a former member of the newspaper club and his friends begin the Hanako-san ritual.

Renko, une jeune écolière de onze ans, est grandement perturbée lorsque ses parents lui annoncent qu'ils ont pris la décision de divorcer. Elle fait l'impasse sur ses sentiments en imaginant qu'avec l'aide de ses deux meilleurs amis, elle parviendra à rabibocher sa petite famille. La bande de camarades entreprend diverses stratégies afin de rapprocher les parents en crise... mais rien n'y fait. Renko fait alors la rencontre d'un vieil homme qui lui apprend la nécessité d'oublier le passé et d'accepter le moment présent.

The 45th NHK Asadora. Set in an old Kyoto tsukemono (Japanese preserved vegetables) store, this series depicted the conflicts between a woman, her daughter and her father-in-law. It is a story about the relationships of three generation of women in the Nakahide family.

The twin girls Tajima Megumi and Ichijo Nozomi was separated at birth after their parents had divorced. Years later they meet each other. Both of them have a career within the entertainment industry. Megumi who lives in Matsue, Shimane sings in the band Shijimijiru, and Nozomi is a maiko, an apprentice geisha in Kyoto.
