On Saturday morning, her mother comes to Nadya to take her with her to the cemetery. Nadia has her own plans, but her mother authoritatively pulls her out of the usual schedule. They need to visit the grave of Nadya’s father, whom his mother divorced long before his death. On the way, the mother swears and in every possible way manifests her irreconcilable nature. Nadia suffers, but on the way back, women quarrel violently. Mother slams the door in the middle of the road and leaves, and Nadia pierces the wheel and has to stop.

The place where the great poet Pushkin crafted his works. The fascist forces occupied Mikhailovskoye. Each of the local residents “follows his own path”. Some join the partisans, some collaborate with the occupiers. Among them — Sergey. A professor of literature, Frau Shiller comes to Mikhailovskoe from Germany. The front line is getting closer, and soon an order comes from Berlin to transfer all historical values out of Mikhailovskoe. Neither the partisans, nor Sergey, who’s fallen into a relationship with Frau Shiller, can allow this to happen. Sergey decides to save the country’s heritage.

Oksana is a journalist specializing in high-profile corruption cases. Kirill is an investigator for especially serious crimes, for whom this journalist pretty much ruins his life. At first glance, they are enemies, but in reality they are spouses on the verge of divorce. Because of her investigation, Oksana falls into the epicenter of a large-scale scandal and finally quarrels with her husband. As punishment, she will have to lay low for a couple of months, working as a correspondent for the local newspaper Evening Shroud.

17-year-old teenagers - Muscovite Sasha and Kazakh Mamazhan - find out that their parents are going to get married, and now they will become half-brother and sister and will live under the same roof. Soon both realize that peaceful coexistence is impossible: Zhan prevents Sasha from making a sports career, and Sasha Zhan from making music. To get rid of each other, teenagers enter into a confrontation that leads to unexpected consequences for both.
