À ce stade, les deux se revoient, Matilde se réfère à Arturo qui est sur le point de se marier mais qui n'est pas sûr de l'identité du père légitime de l'enfant. Finalement, les deux se rapprocheront et iront vivre ensemble dans la maison au toit rouge et la cheminée bleue.
