Cosme and Maria, with their son Benedito and nephews Matheuzinho and Bruna, jump into a somewhat untrustworthy Jeep to go on a journey from the coastline to Barbalha city, where they plan to attend a special feast that they've always longed to take part in. All along the way, the trip is full of discoveries of landscapes and histories. The three children feel the enchantment of this unforgettable family adventure, and realize that they will always be great friends.

Dinho is concerned with abandonment. His biological mother returns, promising she will stay, while his best friend is about to leave. Between child’s play and caring for a sick aunt, he finds some time to dream. Life has not been easy for them: they cling to the final moments of childhood, which seem to no longer belong to them.

Iara, a 12-year-old girl, dreams of playing football. But her father, lost between the new challenges of his daughter's age and machismo, forbids the young girl from achieving her own dream.
