The story runs in the 1940s Mexico City. A schoolboy (Carlos) falls in love with his best friend's mother (Mariana). Carlos is impressed because this family is not like the ordinary mexican families of the time, because they have many expensive American things, although they are not rich. The drama begins when Carlos gets out of school to go to declare his love to Mariana, and is discovered by his teachers.

A successful lawyer has his life shattered when his beautiful wife is found murdered. An investigation reveals she was lying to him and leading a double life... but who killed her?

But that act that seems to trigger the mere memory of places and experiences before dying, suddenly merges with other characters and dramatic experiences, which give life to a limit work, of desperate, almost intolerable courage, obstinate in dismantling all institutional discourses of the history of Mexico, without ceasing to use extraordinarily all possible cinematographic resources.
