In this warm hearted farce, local boy Eddie returns to the small California town where he grew up, setting in motion a comedy of Eros. Eddie spots and falls for local handyman Jeff. Handyman Jeff works for Hank who runs the Swallows restaurant. Hank's long ago ex, Pietro, is returning to cater a wedding, while Eddie takes a temporary job as a cook in order to get his chance with Jeff. Meanwhile Jeff lives at home with his straight brother Paul who's getting married but Paul's also having an affair with an older woman, Eddie's mom.

Cette fois, la panique est d’autant plus grande qu’elle prolonge son séjour et s’installe pour un mois. Entre guerre des tranchées et chamailleries, le quotidien des jumeaux est explosif. Lorsqu’il devient évident que Julie ne compte pas repartir, Jack décide d’échafauder les plans les plus délirants pour la renvoyer à l’autre bout du pays. Dear John starred Judd Hirsch as easygoing Drake Prep high school teacher John Lacey who is dumped by his wife, Wendy, via a Dear John letter. Wendy ends up with everything in the divorce settlement, including custody of the couple's son, forcing John to move into an apartment in Ozone Park, Queens. John soon joins the One-2-One Club, a self help group for divorced, widowed or lonely people. The group is led by Louise (Jane Carr), a sex-obsessed British woman. Other members of the group include Kate McCarron (Isabella Hofmann), a sweet divorcée; Kirk Morris (Jere Burns), a cocky ladies' man; Ralph Drang (Harry Groener), a shy and neurotic tollbooth collector; Bonnie Philbert (Billie Bird), a feisty senior citizen; and Tom, Mrs. Philbert's quiet boyfriend (Tom Willett).
