Hossein the fabric seller, before dying, bequeaths to Mr. Kamal, a pious and ascetic man, to accept the guardianship of his daughter Golrokh. Mr. Kamal takes the girl to his home. Gradually, both Mr. Kamal and his young son become fond of Golrokh.
