The film’s story revolves around Karin Stolpe’s complex relationship with her husband Sven Stolpe and her passionate love affair with Olof Lagercrantz which starts in the 1930s. It shows the impact of passion, jealousy and anger across 70 years, involving different generations.

Joan, épouse fidèle du célèbre auteur Joe Castleman, accompagne son mari à Stockholm où il doit recevoir le prix Nobel de littérature. Trolltider – the legend of the Bergatrollet is SVT's Christmas calendar 2023, directed by Lisa Farzaneh from a script by Ola Norén and Roland Ulvselius. The series is a "reboot" to SVT's Christmas calendar Trolltider from 1979 with partly the same characters but a new story.
