L'été dans un quartier ouvrier et marginal d'une ville du Sud. Tano, un adolescent qui purge une peine dans un centre de redressement, reçoit un permis spécial de 48 heures pour assister aux noces de son frère Santacana. Pendant la durée de son permis, Tano retrouve son meilleur ami Richi, avec la ferme intention de vivre ces heures en s'amusant et faire tout ce qui lui est interdit dans le centre : il se saoule, se drogue, vole, aime, et surtout il revient à la vie. Il se sent libre avec toute la force et l'insolence de l'adolescence. Mais à mesure que se déroule son séjour en dehors du centre, Tano assiste aussi à l'effondrement de tous ses repères : le quartier qui a changé, la famille, l'amour et l'amitié. Au-delà d'un permis de 48 heures, la liberté de Tano devient un voyage imposé vers la maturité.

In a role reversal that is challenging for any young adult, Ali has become a caretaker to her mother’s delicate mental health. Ali spends her days working in a supermarket and the rest of her time off on misadventures with her friend. But when she meets Julio, her tough veneer starts to crack and she may have to amend her strict rules of non-engagement.
