Sawao Yamanaka

The Pillows celebrates its 15th anniversary on September 16, 2004. Members and related parties will talk about the period from the time of formation to the present, including valuable live images and images at the time of program appearance. Japanese rock band The Pillows give a live performance at Liquid Room on December 21, 1997, performing songs from "Little Busters", "Please Mr. Lostman" and other albums.

Kotoji Akame (Naoto Takenaka) is a shabby, middle aged low-ranking samurai of small stature. One day, in a drinking contest, he misses sending his lord off as he leaves Edo for Kuju. Yukio, appelé Koyuki par ses amis, est un garçon japonais de 14 ans comme les autres. Sa vie monotome est métamorphosée le jour où il sauve un chien à l'allure étrange. Le propriétaire du chien (qui s'appelle Beck), Minami Ryusuke, s'avère être guitariste dans un groupe de rock amateur. Les deux garçons deviennent amis, et leur aventure musicale commence. L'histoire s'articule autour de la formation, des débuts et des tribulations de leur groupe de rock, appelé BECK (également appelé Mongolian Chop Squad aux Etats-Unis, le nom de Beck étant déjà pris quand leur premier album sort là-bas). Il est intéressant de voir l'évolution du jeune Yukio de ses premiers cours de guitare à son talent devoilé en fin d'anime. Yukio est aussi doué en chant. Une histoire secondaire mais tout de même importante est celle de la relation entre Koyuki et la sœur de Ryusuke, Maho.

Mabase, petite ville tranquille du Japon. En rentrant chez lui, Naota, jeune écolier de 12 ans qui entretient des relations conflictuelles avec son père, se fait renverser par une furie en vespa, l'extravagante Haruko. Le lendemain, il apprend que son père a engagé Haruko en tant que gouvernante. Depuis ce jour, Naota voit d'étranges créatures mécaniques sortir de son crâne.
