Une nuit d’hiver, le destin de Gerda et Kaï, deux adorables enfants qui vivent avec leur grand-mère, est bouleversé par l’apparition soudaine d’un obscur financier marchand de glace puis de la maléfique reine des neiges, qui peut transformer un cœur pur en un être insensible et froid. Alors que Kaï disparaît, Gerda part à sa recherche à travers le pays : guidée par sa bonté, elle va y rencontrer nombre de personnages étonnants et des animaux qui parlent.

A Russian engineer Petr Garin possesses a unique beam-shooting weapon that can destroy any target. His goal is to achieve world domination with the help of this weapon. Vasily Shelga is out to stop him and also to prevent others getting possession of this weapon.

1918. Workers from Petrograd come to Altai region to establish the first agricultural commune. In spite of the hostility of the local White Army cossacks the workers build houses, cultivate land. The poor peasants are turning towards the commune. However, White Army cossacks take vengeance on the members of the commune.
