The story tells of four moments in the lives of four women: Vera, rising journalist but dissatisfied with life, trying to be the best without knowing where; Lina, always surroended by incense and saints, looking for the love of his life in a television character; Mara Bestelli, who is artificially inseminated without telling her partner that lives abroad; and Inés, whose only goal in life is to marry regardless of the reason for this decision.

When a solar storm leaves the region without power, myriad dramas unfold over the course of five days during which all conveniences of modernity are stripped away. In Costa Rica, a pastor and his daughter worry for the future of their church, while in El Salvador, a grandmother and grandson make an arduous journey into the city. A husband and wife reconnect in Honduras, as a young couple nurses a mysterious stranger back to health in Guatemala. Meanwhile, in Nicaragua, a young woman prepares for her quinceañera and in Panama, a housekeeper grows exasperated with her demanding employer.

As a child, Lucas falls in love with Ana. His story is truncated: she moves away and he loses track of her. Today Lucas does crossword puzzles and has almost zero love-sexual life. Meanwhile, his friend Santiago has a blind date with Verónica that ends after a few seconds. Verónica's neighbor is in a secret and quite toxic relationship.

Three friends take a roadtrip to their hometown. Nicolás is looking for the perfect spot to scatter his grandfather’s ashes, Abril is visiting her family for the first time in eight years and Alfred wants to take part in a dance contest.
