Adea loves playing soccer with the boys and wearing short sports pants. However, her mom disapproves and forbids her to do so. Real girls don't play football neither walk around dressed like little dudes. To escape her mother's aggressive outbursts, she finds comfort in her granny's loving companion. When one day Nona falls dead in the garden, Adea loses her one and only ally.

Flora, a journalist in a Western country, comes to her homeland to trace the early life/identity of Mother Teresa or Anjeza Gonxhe Bojaxhiu, to produce a feature. But soon she will face the surprise of her own identity. Two different lives, in search of their identities, so badly effected by the past, during the communist system.

En 1990, dans une région reculée de l’Albanie, un prisonnier politique est transféré du jour au lendemain sans savoir ni où ni pourquoi. La voiture qui le transporte tombe en panne au cœur de la montagne. Le prisonnier fait connaissance avec ses deux gardes, responsables dévoués au parti communiste albanais.
