En 1979, à Sao Paulo, un homme d'âge mûr revient sur les lieux de son enfance aux alentours de 1937... Envoyé par sa grand-mère chez sa mère Anna, Hugo, un jeune garçon de 12 ans découvre que celle-ci est une prostituée et vit dans un manoir qui sert les ambitions politiques de son compagnon...

Bored with their marriage, the architect Marcelo proposes his wife Ana, a relation to three, with another sexual partner. The woman accepts, but the situation escapes from Marcelo's control because Ana engages lovingly with each other, and Marcelo no longer fits in the triangle proposed.

Two friends discuss their love adventures, and the emptiness ensuing each new conquest.
