Dear Ones is an allegorical story about people who need to make real contact with their family and friends. Piotr is looking for a purpose and order in his life. To find it, he turns to magic, religion, and psychology. Unexpectedly, his father calls him and asks Piotr to come to his family home immediately. Piotr arrives at the same time with his sister, Marta, whom he hardly remembers and does not recognize. The father called for Piotr and Marta because their Mother went missing. Family members who meet for the first time after many years begin to search together. The facts they discover about their mother make them re-define what kind of family they are.

Halina, an elderly hairdresser, who has lead a difficult life, works with her young, carefree assistant, Angela, upon whom she tries to impart in a motherly fashion, all of life's lessons. Their clients are exclusivley German seniors, who travel across the nearby border to the tiny Polish village, in search of inexpensive cuts. While occupying the barber chair they share their dreams, fears, and life stories. Halina's wish is that Angela stays with her until the end of her days, but will Angela put her own dreams aside to stay with Halina in the salon?

Session at the Tatra Cinema Dariusz Ambroszczyk runs one of the oldest cinemas in Lodz - "Tatry". He is the head of the venue and its only employee, so his duties include selling tickets, admitting audiences, and screening films. Every day, Mr. Dariusz is stubbornly waiting for viewers who seem to have completely forgotten about his cinema, visiting it only occasionally. The man begins to realize that cinema, which is the meaning of his life, is slowly declining.
