Seon Ji-hyun

Une jeune femme de carrière, Kim Su-jin, dont le père est chef de chantier, se fait délaisser par son petit ami marié et décide alors de l'oublier. Le soir même, elle tombe sur un pauvre charpentier, Choi Chul-soo, travaillant pour son père et dont le but dans la vie est de devenir architecte. A plusieurs reprises, leurs chemins se croisent et finalement ils tombent amoureux.

The story begins in the 1960s with a young boy in a rural village and spans across decades to feature characters in various stages of life. The first part, titled "Tangerine Ghost," follows a young boy in the 1960s, while later parts explore the lives of middle-aged and elderly characters dealing with loss, love, and memories. The film’s narrative revolves around a symbolic ancient ginkgo tree in the village, which connects the characters and their experiences throughout the six parts.

Film director Jung-woong visits the cafe run by Sung-cheol. Jung-woong talks about the script he is writing, and Sung-cheol talks about the events that had happened in his life. Jung-woong asks Sung-cheol if he can use Sung-cheol's experience in his film.
