The story revolves around Evaristo who¸ accompanied by his drum¸ dreams of becoming a great figure and imposing his music on the whole world. Evaristo composes cumbias and more cumbias on his ranch and then in jail¸ where adverse situations take him. Meanwhile his delusions begin to come true¸ and without knowing it¸ his name and rhythm become famous.

Based on a true story of a British television crew that travelled to Colombia to film a fake documentary about drug trafficking. In one scene, shot in the director’s hotel room, an actor played the part of a character whom the filmmakers passed off as Cali Cartel’s Number Three. They claimed they had risked their lives to get the interview. One sequence also shows a man pretending to swallow capsules of heroine and transporting them to London in his stomach. This phoney TV documentary is an international smash hit. When a London daily discovers that the whole thing is a hoax, a team of British journalists are sent out to Colombia to cover the story. Their report unleashes a scandal that shakes the very foundations of television in the UK.

Beatriz Aurora Pinzón Solano, Betty, est une brillante économiste qui travaille comme secrétaire dans une entreprise de mode fictive en Colombie, Ecomoda. Betty doit constamment faire face au mépris de plusieurs de ses collègues superficiels d'Ecomoda, mais elle prouve au président, Armando Mendoza, qu'elle est indispensable à l'entreprise. Elle devient complice d'Armando à l'insu des autres, pour sauver Ecomoda de la faillite, puis cette complicité se transforme en relation amoureuse.

Ecomoda is a sequel series to RCN Televisión's I am Betty, the ugly in 2001. It tells the story of Armando and Betty's married life, as well as new small stories with their parents and new characters. Its main plot is the future relationship between Ecomoda, the Fashion Group, and Hugo Lombardi. It stars Jorge Enrique Abello and Ana María Orozco, along with Julián Arango, Ricardo Vélez, Lorena Meritano, and Geoffrey Deakin. Despite having great ratings, it did not experience the same success as its predecessor, in addition to the absence of the main roles of Natalia Ramirez and Lorna Paz from the original series, ending 5 months after its premiere.
