Jessica Yeboah, 27, has finished her studies for the day and is getting ready for afterwork. After talking with her classmate, she is reminded of her origins. She gets upset but chooses not to say anything. Inside the restaurant, she meets her classmates. In the middle of the conversation, Jessica once again hears a prejudiced question directed at her that separates her from them.

When school starts again after the holidays, a teenager with mental illness who's endured bullying far too long, decides not to show up in class. Instead, he is planning a revenge on his tormentors...

The series is named after a small part of Saltsjöbaden called Solsidan. It revolves around Alex and Anna who are expecting their first child and have just moved to Alex's childhood home in Saltsjöbaden, Stockholm County. Alex tries to get Anna to enjoy herself, and at the same time spend time with his childhood friend Fredde.
