This fairy tale tells about famous Ukrainian warriors Cossacks, about Paradise and hell, Christmas and evil forces. The Devil makes an agreement with St. Peter. If he can capture the best Cossack warrior and hold him until Christmas night, he will be able to wipe all the Cossacks off the map. The script for the movie is based on Sashko Lirnyk's story "About an old Cossack, a Christmas devil, four horns and a Cossacks".

Somewhere not far from the capital, in a county town, three teenagers discover the lost archaeological digging site of a pagan shrine. Following that, a series of terrifying and unexplainable events happen in the environs. An enigmatic history teacher, who has appeared in the town recently, is set to solve the problems.

1955. Eliahu B., jeune soldat israélien d’origine juive roumaine, est jugé par la Cour Martiale israélienne. Deux ans et demi plus tôt, il a en effet appris que l’assassin de son père, un officier de la Garde de fer roumaine, s’était réfugié après la guerre dans la Légion étrangère française. Il décide alors de déserter de l’armée israélienne pour le retrouver... et accomplir son dessein jusque dans les marais d’Indochine.
