Orpheline de mère, une jeune femme rêve d'être danseuse et de trouver le véritable amour, elle est contrainte d'aller rejoindre la capitale pour vivre avec son père, Poncho et son épouse Enriqueta. Daniela rejette sa belle-mère parce qu'elle est la femme responsable de l'infidélité de son père envers sa mère défunte. Sa demi-soeur, Marylin, ne voit pas d'un bon œil, l'arrivée de Daniela à la maison. Mais Daniela est bien reçue par sa grand-mère Chelito et son frère Roger, un garçon qui revient du Brésil transformé en Renata, génèrant un scandale dans le quartier. Renata star au Brésil aide Daniela à devenir une danseuse professionnelle. Daniela lutte pour réaliser son objectif alors que l'amour se concentre autour d'elle entre deux jeunes hommes : Andrés Miranda, noble, sensible mais pauvre et Mauricio Lavalle, millionnaire, séduisant et passionné. Ces deux hommes vont se battre jusqu'à la mort pour l'amour de Daniela mais sans connaître un terrible secret qui pourrait tout changer.

La Teniente takes a cinematic approach to scripted TV, using locations throughout Mexico and top Spanish-language TV actors as it depicts the adventures of a Special Operations unit of the Mexican Navy. Centering on Mexican Naval graduate Lieutenant Roberta Ballesteros (María Fernanda Yepes), the series shows the challenges facing her immediate and emotional entry into the elite Special Operations unit after a violent tragedy occurs to the group. The series follows her assimilation into the unit, which is filled with drama, action, love triangles, heroes and family.

Is a story about twin brothers, one rich and the other poor, who were separated at birth and reunited several years later by fate. However their polar opposite lives are switched. Through this journey they search and discover themselves.
