Thirty-year-old Marianna is pregnant and returns to the house she grew up in the village after years, due to her dying father, Pavlos, who is taken care of by her mother, Christina. Traumatic memories from her childhood come back as family secrets are revealed.

Michalis, unable to accept the loss of his wife, keeps cooking every day for two dishes, in a vain effort to keep her memory alive. Despite the efforts of his brother-in-law, he retreats to himself and his cooking routine. But, suddenly, the "other" dish starts being consumed daily...

Young Giannis escapes from prison and hides in a deserted factory, with the dream of traveling far away. At the factory, a group of university students rehearse Shakespeare's Midsummer Night's Dream, and a girl from the group discovers him. The students accept him into their group, offering him a part in the play as well. One night, three young men try to destroy the props for the theatrical performance, and Giannis tries to stop them, ending up back in prison. The students manage to get him out of jail, and he embarks on a ship and leaves far away.

Two young people from opposing families fall in love and reawaken the vendetta from years ago in a mountain village in Crete.
