Bibiane Champagne, une jeune femme de vingt-cinq ans, est non seulement jolie mais elle connaît aussi la réussite professionnelle. Issue d'une riche famille influente, elle dirige plusieurs magasins de vêtements de luxe. Elle a un superbe appartement et passe ses nuits dans les boîtes à la mode. Son emploi du temps surchargé ne dissimule cependant pas le vide absolu de sa vie privée. Par un soir d'été pluvieux, Bibiane fauche malencontreusement un passant avec sa voiture. Le blessé, un poissonnier de cinquante-trois ans qu'elle a abandonné sur le bitume, réussit à rentrer chez lui pour y mourir doucement. La vie de Bibiane bascule alors dans un chaos inimaginable. Après avoir essayé d'effacer toute trace de son geste en plongeant sa voiture dans un bassin du port, elle cherche à en savoir plus sur l'homme dont elle a confisqué la vie. C'est ainsi qu'elle fait la rencontre de son fils Evian.

This touching documentary follows a cast of blind and visually impaired actors as they prepare Dancing to Beethoven, a play about blindness. The film takes us deep into the lives of the actors. We hear stories of their shock and disbelief at first losing sight and of their struggles coping with a life without it. We hear them talk about grieving and pining for the visual world. They tell the moving story of how this play is itself a victory, a type of salvation, for each of them. By opening night, at the renowned Place des Arts in Montreal, they are a close-knit cast, well-honed and ready to step out of the wings and into the light.
