En 1971, 2 enfants, Bikram et Bilal, fuient la guerre du Bangladesh et arrivent à Calcutta en Inde. Ces 2 orphelins, livrés à eux-même, doivent se battre chaque jour pour survivre. Ce combat quotidien les rend forts et unis. Plus qu'ils ne l'espéraient.

A middle-class family struggle to make ends meet. Their only hope is their son Rana who always fights injustice which lands him a job in the police force and takes care of the family.
