Adaptation d’un livre de Geert Taghon, très inspiré par son expérience de travailleur social, qui se penche sur le destin d’une famille pour le moins dysfonctionnelle, dont le quotidien est marqué par l’alcool, le sexe et la violence. Leur vie est vue à travers les yeux du jeune héros, Liam, adolescent délaissé, qui après avoir passé des années enfermé dans un sous-sol humide à regarder inlassablement le même film et être harcelé à l’école, atterrit dans un centre fermé où il tente de trouver du réconfort auprès de ses camarades, et des chevaux.

This recorded performance was the last concert we would be playing with our bassplayer, Levy Seynaeve. For one last time the circle of that AMENRA era was complete. An intimate look into the world of the Belgian post metal band in its twentieth year of existence. Amenra came into life in 1999 as an offset of the Flemish hardcore scene and grew throughout the years to become a widely respected collective that is continuously pushing the envelope on what it means to be band. Through uncommonly intense live shows, elaborate art work and collaborations with a broad spectre of artists from a slew of disciplines, the band created a completely unique universe of their own, which reaches much further than just the musical side.⁠ ⁠ Photographer and videographer Bobby Cochran (°1972 California, USA) started following Amenra a few years ago on various tours of Europe, the United States and Japan. The result is an intimate portrait in which the band members and their closest collaborators reflect upon the past twenty years over stunning images and soul soothing music.

Shadows of Light combines the loud and soft tones of life. The centerpiece is an Austrian mountain pasture where the summer solstice is celebrated with international artists and where tradition and zeitgeist are not contradictory.
