Englishman Bryan Jenkins was living peacefully with his Japanese wife Itsuki and daughter Alice in London, when his Japanese mother-in-law suddenly passes away, and the family decides to uproot to Tokyo to look after his father-in-law Tsuneo.

Face à ces 99,9% de chances de condamnation, être avocat de la défense spécialisé dans les affaires pénales est quasiment sans espoir, mais pas pour Miyama qui fera tout pour faire éclater la vérité du 0.1%.

The story revolves around the love, friendship and relationships between four characters who meet by chance.

After being retrenched from his job at a Tokyo securities firm, Tsunezue Riichi decides to return to his hometown to work. He soon lands a job at the company GALAXYZ, a job that his parents highly recommended. GALAXYZ is a newly set up company, with young entrepreneur Kui Yoshiaki at its helm. Unbeknownst to Riichi, the company actually handles AV (adult videos, i.e., pornography) projects. Even the office ladies at the company's premises are actually all aspiring AV actresses. Throughout the entire company, everything is AV-centric, with even filming taking place within the office! Amidst all these, Riichi finds himself fascinated by a sweet, charming girl, Momoko, another OL/AV wannabe…

Koichi Asakura works as a designer at an advertising agency. Even though he works very hard, he does not receive recognition at his job. He is frustrated by his circumstance. He decides to visit a place from his school days, involving Eren Yamagishi. Meanwhile, Eren Yamagishi has the nickname of "The Southpaw" (“Hidarikiki”) and is a painter in New York. She is gifted as painter, but, due to her genius like talent, she suffers.

Eiji Arima is a veteran detective who is about to retire. Shoichi Sera is a young lawyer and Misuzu Haruna is a prosecutor. These three people belong to the Gohan Taisakushitsu ("Misjudgment Countermeasure Office’". Their job is to re-examine death-row convictions and check to see if anyone was falsely convicted.

Ukawa Taeko withdraws her appeal on a murder case, despite her lawyer's insistence. Taeko is the owner of the boarding house which her attorney, Fujii lived in back in his law school days. Fujii had struggled with school, but thanks to Taeko's support he became a lawyer. However, Taeko continued to struggle with her husband, Shigeharu's large debt. In an act to end the struggle, Taeko killed a moneylender when he came to collect. The lingering question was why kill the lender?
