Bien que physiquement adulte, l'homme «renaît» avec les yeux d'un enfant; et les médecins qui s’occupent de lui doivent lui apprendre à marcher, parler et se préparer à la vie dans le monde extérieur. La tension monte alors qu'il s'échappe de l'hôpital, se promène parmi les gens qui ne se rendent pas compte de son identité et est poursuivi par la police.

The Doctor, Jamie and Zoe arrive on an unnamed planet. At first believing themselves in the midst of World War I, they realise it to be one of many War Zones overseen by the War Lords, who have kidnapped large numbers of human soldiers to form the greatest army the universe has ever seen.
