Mikhail, un homme d’affaire cynique, tente d’extraire le sable d’une ancienne zone de bataille du siège de Leningrad qui abrite les corps de nombreux soldats russes. Un incident se produit et Mikhail découvre un portail lui permettant de voyager dans le temps, en pleine Seconde Guerre mondiale. Coincé entre sa réalité et des sauts temporels au coeur du front sanglant de l’Est, Mikhail se retrouve dans une quête du temps qui changera à jamais sa destinée.

Ludmila – King Vladimir's beautiful daughter – has been known for her wayward and disobedient personality since she was a little child. For a very long time, Ludmila has been in love with a boy of her age – Ruslan, with whom she spends her carefree time and of marriage with whom she dreams. The film follows the most dramatic and legendary showdown in the history of chess – the match between Anatoly Karpov, then world champion, and Viktor Korchnoi, a recent emigrant from the USSR. In this battle between two outstanding chess players, a duel of personalities under immense psychological pressure, the stakes are incomprehensibly high.
