A true story about an 11-year-old girl named Maria who makes her way back home to Lithuania from Siberia.

Soviet Lithuania, 1987. This drama is based on real events. The girl Emilija does not know that she has two sisters and a mother. Emilija is experiencing loneliness. She runs away from school, sometimes longing for death. She hovers around in a sandbox and imagines herself playing a funeral march. One day, Emilija receives the news that her sisters and mother have appeared, but that doesn’t make her happy - she had fallen in love with strangers.

Moterys meluoja geriau is a Lithuanian TV series produced by TV3. It is the most watched Lithuanian drama of all time. It is based on a novel by Daiva Vaitkevičiūtė. The series follows four young women and their love interests.
